Can't seem to sleep? try these tips for a Goodnight Sleep
Do you find it hard to get a restful sleep? There could be days when you have a nice run and a good shower before bed and still can’t fall asleep. If you are looking for ways to get a goodnight sleep, you can try these tips today!
Read through the list to see if you are also used to these naughty pre-bed habits that avoid you from getting a goodnight sleep!
1. Do not watch things on your laptop or tablet
Watching the next episode of your favorite TV-show can be irresistible. But your brain will interpret the light of the screens as it being daylight and wreak havoc with your usual sleep patterns. Try to keep the screens away 2 to 3 hours before you hit the sack.
2. Dehydrated Body
Keep a glass of water next to your bed and make sure you replenish your body fluids before you go to bed. This will help restore the nutrients and other minerals and vitamins during your sleep. Also, you can wake up with a well-hydrated supple skin!
3. It’s too hot!
A sweaty sticky body can be extremely uncomfortable to relax. Try reducing the temperature in your room and choose natural fibers in your bed sheets instead of synthetics. Get rid of the polyester and choose linen or cotton for the bedding.
4. Don’t go to bed hungry
Just because you want to sleep it does not mean your body wants it too. If you are going to bed hungry your brain will send constant alerts to go get food and it will disturb your goodnight sleep.
5. Too Stressed out Sleep
Clear your head if you are stressed out. Try drinking a glass of milk and reading a good book to distract yourself. Or you can try doing yoga before bed to relax yourself or even meditation.
