Way back when, Eve Lom introduced us to the joys of the muslin cloth – the perfect thing for removing her balm cleanser. (Which she also pioneered.)
That balm has become a worldwide classic – but now there’s a new spin on the formulation, and we have to say we’re enjoying it v. v. v. much.
What is Eve Lom Cleanser?
It is a thick, balm cleanser with four aromatic plant oils. The Eve Lom’s original Cleanser exfoliates and conditions the skin and it even removes the waterproof makeup. This is one of the first balm cleansers on the market right now and it is sold with a muslin cloth for removing and cleaning purposes.
Who should use it?
The Eve Lom Cleanser is fashioned to be used on practically every skin type since it comes with great makeup removal abilities. Plus this is great for a first step in a double cleanse of your face. Although those with oilier skin might find it too rich for their skins. So we suggest that you cap off the cleansing with a toner to remove any residue left on skin.
How do you use the Even Lom’s Cleanser?
It could be a relatively lengthy process. The product is designed to be applied on dry skin and massaged well into the skin. Immerse the muslin in hot water and squeeze to remove the excess. Place the muslin over the face to allow the formula to soften well and for the pores to open. Repeat this three times.
Then re-immerse the muslin for the fourth time and fold it into a square and massage on your face in circular motion to remove any remaining makeup. Finally, immerse the muslin in cold water and place it on your skin to close the open pores.
Why do we love it?
Apart from the amazingly good after effects, the eucalyptus aroma has a calming effect on both skin and mind. The texture of the balm lifts away the dirt with the skill of an exfoliator and the gentle touch of the cream and the large pot it comes in definitely looks in the bathroom.
